What is Summer Startup?
When starting a business, it can sometimes be hard to know how to take the first step, or to know if you’re ‘doing the right thing’. This is exactly why we created Summer Startup.
Over the course of this super practical 6-week series of workshops (detailed below), we’ll equip you with the tools, knowledge, confidence and momentum to turn your own idea into a real business.
Specific topics covered include Business Basics, Business Models, Brand & Marketing, Find your First Customer, How to Build your Own Website, as well as an introduction to Finances and Law.
Lastly, and best of all, if you’re a student or graduate of London Met Uni, it’s free to take part in Startup Summer.

FAQ
What does Summer Startup cost?
Summer startup is free for all students and graduates of London Met!
I don’t yet have a business idea. Is this programme for me?
Absolutely! Our first session is on how to come up with an idea. Even if you don’t have one, it’s never too early to start learning about the other areas of business.
I already have a business. Is this programme for me?
Possibly! Rather than coming to all sessions, you might like to pick and choose those topics you’d like to know a bit more about.
Do I have to be in London to do this programme?
Many of the sessions will be taking place in person at Accelerator in Shoreditch. That said, some of the sessions, such as the one on how to build a website (and other useful online tools) will be taking place online.
