It was amazing to work with fabulous people to create a pitch and business from an idea to conception.
Great for setting alight the entrepreneurial spirit. Highly recommend, this can be your first step. Definitely do not miss out on such an educational active, mentally challenging 3 days.
It was an amazing weekend! I learnt so much over the weekend. I am now confident to go to pitch to the world.
It was a great opportunity to meet up with very motivated and like-minded people, I learnt a lot from it for my business ideas and also for my future career orientation.
Frequently asked questions
You should expect to:
- Create and share ideas with other entrepreneurial London Met and Roehampton students
- Learn how to find out if an idea could become a business
- Meet mentors who have succeeded in start-up
- Learn and practice pitching
- Have fun!
To take part in Startup Sprint, you’ll need:
- the most up-to-date version of zoom,
- an open mind and a willingness to take part and
- to be available throughout the weekend
- Friday 4 February, 16.30 – 20.30
- Saturday 5 February, 10.00 – 17.30
- Sunday 6 February, 10.00 – 17.30
All ideas are welcome! You should be prepared to share your ideas with the group.
If you are worried about sharing an idea, you’re still welcome to take part. You must be prepared to work on another idea for the weekend though. You can then apply the tried-and-tested methods to your own idea after the weekend.
The worst case scenario is that you will work with brilliant people from numerous disciplines and other universities toward the goal of launching real companies and products. Great connections happen: cofounders meet, complementary skill sets collide, and friends are made. The best case scenario is that you will be a cofounder of a wildly successful new startup.
You and the other participants will work together online to start a business over the course of three days! The goal is to build enough momentum among a network of motivated people to sustain the business beyond the weekend.
