London Metropolitan University hosted an Introduction to Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) event, which brought together local organisations and businesses based at Accelerator to explore the opportunities presented by the Innovate UK Knowledge Transfer Partnership scheme.

A Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) is a government-funded programme that aims to bring together universities and businesses to work collaboratively on projects which are strategically important for the growth and development of individual organisations. This programme is designed to support innovation and growth, generating commercial, societal, and environmental impact.

The KTP programme has been successfully running for over 40 years, and it has been recognised as one of the UK’s leading knowledge exchange initiatives. It is a powerful tool that allows businesses to tap into the expertise and knowledge of academic institutions, providing access to cutting-edge research, world-class facilities, and experienced professionals who can help to drive their growth and innovation agenda.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships are open to businesses of all sizes, from start-ups to large corporations, and not-for-profit organisations. It is an excellent way for businesses to access the latest research and technology, enhance their competitiveness, and drive innovation and growth. The programme also provides an opportunity for businesses to connect with academic institutions and explore potential collaborations that could drive innovation and growth.

The KTP programme is an excellent example of how academia and industry can work together to drive innovation and growth, generating commercial, societal, and environmental impact.

London Metropolitan University’s Introduction to Knowledge Transfer Partnerships was hosted at Accelerator with support from Mark Lynch, Knowledge Transfer Advisor at Innovate KTN.

The event allowed attendees to gain insights into how Knowledge Transfer Partnerships could benefit their organisations, and provided an excellent opportunity for how their businesses can connect with the university and explore potential collaborations.

London Metropolitan University is committed to fostering innovation and collaboration between academia and industry, with this Knowledge Transfer Partnership being a key step in achieving these goals. This Knowledge Transfer Partnership event is just one of the many initiatives that the university is undertaking to support the growth of businesses and organisations in the local community.
