To export or not to export? International Trade Opportunities
The Department for International Trade (DIT) – London Region – helps small to medium businesses (SMEs) in London export and grow into global markets. Join GetSet for Growth London and DIT, to learn more about opportunities abroad, how to make the most of them with DIT tailored advice and support, and speak with an International Business Advisor about developing your international strategy.
This session will appeal to first time exporters and those who have not engaged in international trade in the past 12 months. Emphasis will be laid on why international trade is beneficial, an overview of the export journey that companies will undertake and also highlighting some live international opportunities that are available on the day.
The outline of the workshop will in a broad sense, cover topics such as:
- How doing business overseas can benefit your company,
- How to make the most out of international opportunities and
- What support (including funding options) is available.

Having lived, worked and studied in the UK, China and India, Rory now works as part of the Technology sector team for the Department for International Trade in London, advising innovative companies on doing business overseas.
