Enterprise team attends Rewire London Conference
This past Friday, March 7th, the enterprise team headed to London’s Google Campus to attend the 2014 Rewire London Conference. Rewire London is a conference with a difference. Based in the heart of London’s Tech City, it’s a celebration of those at the cutting edge of emerging developments in design, business and technology. The conference is dependent on active participant in shaping the outcome of the day, encouraged to run and join in on sessions and share knowledge. Think inspirational talks from guest speakers, creative showcases, ad-hoc presentations and practical workshops.
In attendance were 150 of London’s brightest intellects in design, business, and technology. Creative Enterprise Manager Frances Brown was in attendance as well as the intern team which volunteered to work the event.
Overall, it was a great day. The intern team was not only able to help set up and work the event, but also participate in it as well. The interns were able to join in many of the lectures and presentations at the conference. Dana Korman, an intern with the Enterprise at London Met team, really enjoyed her day at the conference. “I was able to sit in on several lectures, and they were all very interesting. It was awesome to not only work the Rewire London Conference, but also learn and participate while being there.”
Frances Brown also had an exciting day at the conference, “I attended Rewire with my Enterprise at London Met team and well as helping out start-up support business Starting www.askstarting.com who were recording the Q+As to share with those who couldn’t be there. Was great to meet and chat to so many different and interesting people who I have already started catching up with to see how we can collaborate after the event.”
The Rewire London 2014 conference was an overall success. The conference was a great time for everyone in attendance. The large group of people and the enthusiasm at the event resulted in a beneficial day for the whole Enterprise team. It was awesome to meet and learn from entrepreneurs from different backgrounds and with different experiences. We were all glad to have the opportunity to participate at Rewire 2014 and cannot wait for next year’s conference!
