Jara is a recent participant of the London Met Enterprise business idea competition and the Hatchery* Programme. Jara has just launched her company, and already it has seen much publicity in the fashion world.

Jara Wine is a new women’s fashion label, proudly based in London. Jara’s products are completely manufactured in the UK and dedicated to a versatile, playful and timeless style. The ranges of dresses feature a boost of colour and eclectic mix of textiles. All garments are designed for an easy and flattering fit, and feature short and midi lengths. Jara started her business because she was fed up with the offer of clothes on the high street. She didn’t like to wear what everyone else was wearing and eventually started customising clothes and then designing them herself.

“The Hatchery* Programme really helped me because I managed to write a business plan, which I could then use for further funding programs. I met lots of very helpful people. Sometimes questions (especially from Richard) could be very scary, but they were brutally honest and real life concerning which made you think twice. Simon recommended many people to me who were very helpful in different ways.”
