The first ever Commercial Future Awards, sponsored by Accelerator and Enterprise at London Met, has been a huge success! The Awards provided aspiring creative business owners or freelancers with the opportunity to present their commercially viable designs or business concepts to creative start-up specialist. With a support package being provided to the winner to help get their business started, this was a great opportunity for participants.
The Enterprise Team has been extremely impressed by the standard of applications and the great ideas! The enthusiasm shown by everyone in the competition was brilliant to see. The quality of designs and business concepts made it very difficult to choose the winners but we narrowed it down to four award winners from Textiles, Graphic Design and Fine Art.
And the winners are…
Textiles – Eerika Leino
Textiles – Amelia Rees
Fine Art – Katie Brown
Graphic Design – Russell Daniels-Lake
“We were really impressed with the quality of all the applications, and the ideas submitted by our four winners all demonstrate real commercial potential.  Once they finish their respective courses they will be ready to hit the ground running and we at Accelerator will be ready to help them develop their businesses through our Hatchery Programme.” – Frances Brown, Creative Enterprise Manager at Accelerator
We would like to congratulate the winners of the inaugural Commercial Future Awards and look forward to having them work with us at Accelerator. We would also thank everybody who participated. The competition was much better than we could have ever imagined. The enterprise team is already looking forward to repeating it next year!
