We love bringing startups together under one roof and building a community at Accelerator. We also love supporting London Met’s most passionate students and graduates build their own businesses, just like TRIM-IT, Arctic Power Berries, Melting Pot LDN, Dottore London, Measure and Beting Metrics to name just a few!

So we’re thrilled that Accelerator, London Met’s specialist business incubator has been named as one of the Made At Uni Tech Breakthroughs included for supporting startups! Universities were named in the Breakthrough category for ways they have improved health, tech, sport, culture, environment, family and community.

Supporting start-ups

London Metropolitan University’s specialist business incubator – The Accelerator – brings entrepreneurs together under one roof, allowing them to share ideas and business advice.

Based in Tech City in Shoreditch, east London, it is also home to the university’s student enterprise programmes, which offers support, networks and resources to students and graduates interested in setting up their own business.

Accelerator has supported many successful start-ups including Arctic Power Berries, whose natural berry powders are now sold in Harrods, Selfridges and Ocado; and TRIMIT, the first app-powered barber shop, where you can book a luxury barber van to come to your home.

Since its creation 15 years ago, The Accelerator has raised millions of pounds to support startups and small businesses.
