On Thursday Accelerator hosted a Digital PR workshop led by David Alexander, Managing Director of Calacus – with consultant Becky Williams.

The workshop provided lots of useful tips for developing and improving PR strategy. PR is important to consider when starting up a new business – it helps to build reputation, gain trust, and approach your target audience.

We heard about: how PR has evolved in the digital age, writing press releases, identifying target audiences, preparing a creative strategy, storytelling, managing a reputation, and using content marketing to reach your audience.

David also gave a list of resources to help with social media. Hootsuite and Sprout Social can be used to manage multiple social media channels, and Socialbakers has a tool which provides detailed analytics to help keep track of your audience.
